Testimonials

bettrends are delighted to announce a new partnership with Trackside and offer a unique betting angle and valuable service to our customers. The bettrends team tested out the Trackside offering over the Derby weekend to great success, and found the paddock analysis quick, direct, and highly informative for each and every race. We look forward to working with such a helpful team of experts for the UK’s major racing festivals for what should be an exciting collaboration.”

“I met Vicki Gibbins whilst standing in the paddock at Newmarket admiring the 2024 field for the 1,000 Guineas. She was standing taking notes as each of the runners walked by and I asked her what she was doing and who stood out for her?
She surprised me by saying Porta Fortuna, a filly who I thought might struggle over the stiff Rowley mile. How right she was as that filly finished second going down by just a neck.
I was impressed not only by Vicki’s very good call but also by her unhesitating conviction when I asked for her opinion.
Porta Fortuna was by the way the 6th in the betting.”

Bjorn Nielsen / Owner

“Throughout the last 10 years or so that I’ve owned jump horses, Dave Massey has invariably been at the same tracks, ready to advise me on my horse’s chances, or, perhaps, more importantly, assessing the other horses in the parade ring and highlighting the dangers. With such a depth of knowledge, Dave is one of the few individuals that really knows what he’s talking about. Well before any horse enters the paddock, he will have studied their form, and, crucially, has a keen eye to observe how they look in the ring, and how they are galloping to the post.
Dave Massey. Knowledgeable, reliable, informed comment. Back him.”

Robert Aplin / Owner

“Vicki has an outstanding eye for a racehorse and is a brilliant communicator who has been a regular presence this season on outside broadcasts.   She is not afraid to take on the betting market with her assessments live in the paddock and on two occasions was proven spectacularly right when hotly-fancied favourites fell away and failed to match expectations. But Vicki used her extensive equine knowledge built up over many years working in the industry to  inform her opinion and she had already pre-warned our listeners.  She is a great asset to a day at the races.”
